 Greg A. Seivert

    Founder / Owner

Greg was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.  He attended college at BYU-Hawaii, and instantly decided the islands were his new home.  While exploring the best of Hawaii's outdoors, he earned his Bachelor's Degree studying International Business and Teaching English.  He went on to become an Experiential Education Instructor, guiding teenagers through outdoor adventures, cultural experiences and service projects in Hawaii and Costa Rica.  In his youth, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in the Boy Scouts of America program. Now, he volunteers as a Scoutmaster for local teenagers. He began Hawaii Wilderness Adventure School because he feels the biggest contribution he can offer the world is to train its future leaders to appreciate the environment in which they live.

 Harmony Seivert

     Director of Education

Harmony grew up in Modesto, California; a central location for adventures in both the mountains and the ocean. She has traveled and explored the wilderness areas of the U.S., Central America, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. She has tested her endurance through hiking and marathon running, and has dove many of the world's best coral reefs. Also a BYU-Hawaii graduate, she is happy to now call the islands "home." With a Master's Degree in Education from San Diego State University, she has taught and supervised teachers in public and private schools for 10 years. She also volunteers as the president of a large youth organization in the East Hawaii area. She contributes to Hawaii Wilderness Adventure School as the Curriculum Coordinator; designing hands-on lessons that combine natural science and cultural awareness. In her spare time, she enjoys attending to her extensive garden in the rainforest.
