         Aloha!

Hawaii Wilderness Adventure School is an outdoor education program for teens.  During our courses, explore pristine valleys and swim in waterfall pools.  Learn to sail your own boat on Hilo Bay.  Discover the biodiversity of the islands at Volcanoes National Park.  Visit the Imiloa Astronomy Center and camp on Mauna Kea to study the universe.  Learn the value of service while restoring native Hawaiian forests.  Improve leadership skills through exciting outdoor challenges.  Ready for adventure?

Our mission is to inspire environmental stewardship in future leaders.  We offer Summer courses to students ages 12-17, which are open enrollment.  We cater to private groups throughout the year with our custom courses.

On our website you can find all the forms needed to enroll, watch slideshows and videos of our recent adventures, and learn more about 1% For The Planet in a short video presentation.  As always, feel free to contact us with any questions. Have a look at video highlights from our trip to Waipi'o Valley with Hualalai Academy!  We spent three days hiking to waterfalls, harvesting taro, learning and having a good time.

"My husband and I just watched the video and slide show of the Waipi'o Valley trip.  They rocked!  Abe had a really good experience on the trip, even though he had been pretty skeptical before going.  Maybe we can convince him to go on another trip this summer!"
